NFL
Fantasy Football: 4 Unexpectedly Great Week 8 Performances
Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle was one of a number of players who enjoyed a huge fantasy football performance while on your bench in Week 8. What should your strategy be for these players in Week 9?

Deshaun Watson, QB, Houston Texans

NFL.com Start Percentage: 28%

Week 8 Fantasy Points: 32.8

Deshaun Watson was the second-best fantasy quarterback of Week 8 (NFL.com scoring) and is no stranger to this list of surprising performances. He also appeared here in Week 4 and Week 5.

Watson is now the second-highest scoring quarterback this season, but his start percentage is stuck in the 25 to 35 percent range. It's definitely not because of his performance -- in six starts, he's posted fewer than 20 fantasy points just once. He also has two games over 20 points and three games over 30 points.

Feel free to start Watson on the reg. He's the real deal. He's on our list of best weekly performers. He's our top-projected quarterback for Week 9. If you've got Watson on your roster, it's okay to roll him out as your starter. If you don't have him, you have our condolences.

Honorable Mention

Josh McCown was started in just under three percent of NFL.com leagues, but posted 18.3 points en route to a QB4 performance. Check the weekly matchups, but McCown makes for a decent streaming candidate. He's fantasy football's QB9 so far this year.
