4 FanDuel Defenses to Target in Week 6

Atlanta Falcons

FanDuel Price: $5,000
numberFire Projection: 9.5 FanDuel points

Like the Broncos, the Atlanta Falcons come off of their bye this week hosting a team that has struggled early in the year.

The 2-2 Miami Dolphins travel to Atlanta for a game that Vegas is projecting to be a blowout. The Falcons are an 11.5-point favorite, tied with the Broncos for the largest on the week. The Dolphins have an implied team total of just 17.75, the third lowest on the week.

After a promising start against the Chargers in Week 2, Jay Cutler has been dreadful over the past three games despite plus matchups against New York, New Orleans, and Tennessee. Over that span, he's thrown an interception in every game and has been sacked a total of 8 times. He's managed just 2 touchdowns and a measly average of 158 passing yards per game. Just last week against the Titans, Cutler passed for only 92 yards and 1 score while also throwing 1 interception.

Although Atlanta's defense ranks 18th, per numberFire metrics, Cutler and the Dolphins should be in a negative game script thanks to the Falcons high-powered offense playing at home. Matt Ryan and the Falcons have been held under 20 points just once this season, and they have an implied team total of 29, the highest projected total on the slate.
