The 10 Most Impactful Plays From the Conference Championship Round
Neither of Sunday's conference championships ended up with a tight margin, but that doesn't mean they were devoid of big plays. Which swung the win-probability meters most?

10. Chris Boswell Misses an Extra Point

Win Probability Change: -4.91% | Win Probability After Play: 26.80%

It may be hard to remember this with how the game turned out, but the Patriots didn't pull away from the Pittsburgh Steelers right away. A DeAngelo Williams second-quarter touchdown made it a 10-6 Patriots lead, meaning an extra point would pull the Steelers within a field goal.

That extra point never came.

Instead, Chris Boswell pulled that puppy wide left, keeping the Patriots' lead at four points. The Steelers' win odds were above 30% after Williams' touchdown, but they never got that high again after Boswell's missed extra point. This obviously didn't make a huge difference in what ended up being a 19-point New England victory, but the Steelers were never able to right the ship after Boswell's blunder.
