In what turned out to be one of the stranger games of the day, wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey led the Pittsburgh Steelers in rushing yards while Jay Ajayi led the Miami Dolphins in rushing yards.

Not only did Ajayi lead his team in rushing yards on Sunday, but also he set the season-high for all running backs in the NFL with 204 yards -- 47 more than the previous league high. To top it off, he added two rushing touchdowns for the best game of his young career.

Back in March, I took a look at Ajayi's prospects for this season and found his statistics, albeit a small sample size, were comparable to former Dolphins running back Lamar Miller.

The supposed return of Arian Foster is still looming, but even in Sunday's game where Foster was active for the first time in weeks, head coach Adam Gase chose to give Ajayi 25 carries while Foster only toted the ball 3 times.

Foster's bell-cow days are far gone, and after Sunday's monster performance from Ajayi, he could be looked at as an RB2 in his upcoming matchup versus the Buffalo Bills.
