3 FanDuel Defenses to Target in Week 6
The Buffalo Bills have scored at least 10 FanDuel points in four of their five games this season, and they get a home matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 6.

Buffalo Bills

FanDuel Price: $4,800
Projections: 17.21 points allowed, 2.27 sacks, 1.98 turnovers, 0.22 touchdowns

If you’ve used the Buffalo D/ST at all this season on FanDuel, there’s a good chance you were happy with the results. They’ve scored 10-plus FanDuel points in four of their five games this season, with the only dud coming in Week 2 against the New York Jets.

This week, they are 7.5-point favorites at home against the San Francisco 49ers, a team traveling all the way across the country for a 1 p.m. kickoff with a new starting quarterback. Colin Kaepernick will be under center on Sunday, which is good news for the Buffalo Bills as Kaepernick suffered a career-worst 10.3 percent sack percentage in 2015. The Bills are 4th in the NFL with 17 sacks, so there’s upside well beyond our projection of 2.27 sacks on Sunday.

The 49ers have an implied Vegas team total of just 18.5 points this week, which is actually higher than we expect -- in fact, we project the Bills to allow the fewest amount of points in Week 6.

Not allowing points is great and all, but for GPPs, monstrous D/ST performances usually require a defensive or special teams touchdown. While these events are difficult to predict, Buffalo has already returned three turnovers for touchdowns this season, including Nickell Robey’s pick six of Case Keenum last week:

On FanDuel’s main slate, no team is priced above $5,000, which means by rostering Buffalo you’ll get a D/ST with huge upside without breaking the bank.
