Vance Jackson leaving UConn after his freshman season

Connecticut Huskies freshman forward Vance Jackson will transfer from the program, according to Jeff Borzello of ESPN.

What It Means:

Jackson was a top-80 recruit in the Class of 2016 and received substantial playing time at UConn -- starting 21 games -- but came off the bench his final three games, possibly playing a factor in his decision. He will now have to sit out the 2017-18 season and will have three years of eligibility starting in the fall of 2018.

Jackson averaged 8.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.6 three-pointers in 26.1 minutes per game at UConn.
