West Virginia Mountaineers junior guard Jevon Carter scored a game-high 21 points with 7 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal in Thursday's 61-58 loss to the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Carter wasn't very efficient, making only 6-of-17 from the floor, but he kept the Mountaineers close as he hit four 3-pointers. The performance was his sixth 20-plus point game of the year and second in the NCAA Tournament.
Carter averaged 18.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 3.3 3-pointers in three tournament games.
