Esa Ahmad questionable to join West Virginia on upcoming road trip

West Virginia Mountaineers sophomore forward Esa Ahmad (back) is questionable to join the team on their upcoming road trip this weekend, according to Bob Hetzel of the Times WV.

What It Means:

It is unclear when Ahmad hurt his back, but he seems to be in serious jeopardy of missing West Virginia's next two games due to the injury. He already sat out Monday's win over the Texas Longhorns. If he stays home, Lamont West and Daxter Miles Jr. will make up the 24.2 minutes per game Ahmed plays.

Ahmed is averaging 11.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals per game this season.
