Virginia Tech's Chris Clarke undergoing an MRI on his left knee Monday

Virginia Tech Hokies sophomore forward Chris Clarke is undergoing an MRI on his left knee Monday after hurting it Sunday versus the Virginia Cavaliers, according to Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

What It Means:

Clarke limped off after playing 25 minutes on Sunday, and while the extent of the injury is unknown, the mere fact he is getting an MRI means it is serious. Don't expect to see him out on the floor Tuesday night versus the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Clarke is averaging 11.3 points and 7.3 rebounds in 28.9 minutes per game for the 17-7 Hokies, who are currently projected as a 10-seed by our models. An extended absence could jeopardize their inclusion in the field of 68.
