The University of Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos have dismissed senior guard Martez Harrison from the program effective immediately, according to Ashley Scoby of the Kansas City Star.
Harrison has missed the last five games due to a suspension for violating the athletic department policy. While the exact reason for his dismissal has not been announced, the senior was under investigation by the campus' Title IX office. Title IX is a federal law that protects against gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual violence.
Harrison was the team's second-leading scorer with an average of 16.5 points per game this season.
