Former San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker has agreed to sign with the Charlotte Hornets, per Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.
The deal is reportedly for two years, $10M as the Spurs' vet was likely convinced to join the Hornets by fellow Frenchman Nic Batum and new Charlotte head coach James Borrego, a former Spurs' assistant. Parker will provide valuable minutes behind Kemba Walker and will serve as a mentor for Charlotte's young guards. Dejounte Murray will see a slight bump in minutes as the Spurs' unquestioned starting point guard next season.
Parker averaged 7.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 0.5 steals in 19.4 minutes per game last season.
