According to The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears, San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker is being sent to the team's G-League affiliate as he works his way back from offseason quad surgery.
Parker ruptured his left quadriceps tendon and underwent surgery to repair the injury back in May. He's yet to hit the hardwood this season, but this is definitely a good sign for a return sooner rather than later. The 35-year-old was originally set to return in January but it's looking like a November debut for Parker. Dejounte Murray has been super impressive in his absence and might just force Parker into a limited role this season.
After averaging 10.1 points and 4.5 assists a year ago, our models project Parker to tally 10.5 points and 4.3 assists in 26.2 minutes per game and 40 games in the 2017-18 season.
