Free agent forward James Johnson, formerly of the Miami Heat, shares a mutual interest with the Utah Jazz, according to Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.
The Heat have said all along that they intend to keep their versatile forward, but the Jazz are likely to make a hard push as they look to address their post-Gordon Hayward future. Johnson had a career year in Miami last season with averages of 12.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.1 blocks, and 1.1 3-pointers in 27.4 minutes per game over 76 contests.
Johnson earned a 1.6 nERD in Miami last season, placing him inside the NBA's top-100 out of 486 players.
