Indiana Pacers guard Monta Ellis picked up 6 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 turnovers in 24 minutes of action against the New York Knicks on Monday before being forced out of the game with an ankle injury.
There's no word yet on the severity of the injury, and we should have a better idea of his availability for the Pacers' next game (Thursday against the Minnesota Timberwolves) after Tuesday's practice. Look for C.J. Miles -- who started at shooting guard last night -- to pick up some extra minutes if Ellis misses any more time.
Ellis has had a rough season, and his -3.4 nERD is the lowest mark among Pacers players and the 12th-lowest mark in the NBA. He is also sporting a career-worst player efficiency rating (9.7) and turnover rate (19.7 percent).
