Philadelphia 76ers forward Robert Covington suffered a left knee sprain and will not return on Friday night.
Covington played 23 minutes before leaving with the injury. He went 3-for-9 from the field for nine points. If Covington is to miss extended time, Nik Stauskas and Hollis Thompson will see more minutes in his absence.
Covington has been having a disappointing season so far as he is averaging 8.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 three-pointers, and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 30.8 percent from the floor.
