The Detroit Pistons and all-star center Andre Drummond are nearing agreement on a max-contract, which would reportedly be worth $130 million over five years.
The Pistons had already made public that they were comfortable offering Drummond the max, so this deal doesn't come as much of a surprise.
Drummond has recorded 171 double-doubles since he stepped into a full-time starting role in 2013, while nobody else in the league has cracked even 150 in that span. He averaged career-highs with 16.2 points and a league-leading 14.8 rebounds per game this past season, and his 3.9 nERD was good for 44th in the NBA.
