Kyle Lowry K. Lowry

Kyle Lowry (foot) ruled out for Raptors against Thunder

Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry will not play Wednesday versus the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a right foot infection.

What It Means:

Lowry played through the foot infection on Monday but only managed to provide 10 points and 2 assists. Aron Baynes drew the start for Lowry last time but only played 15 minutes while Stanley Johnson and Chris Boucher were both more involved off the bench. Malachi Flynn, Gary Trent Jr., and Rodney Hood are also candidates for more playing time with Lowry out. Fred VanVleet should see an uptick in usage.

FVV is one of numberFire's top-five values at the shooting guard position on Wednesday's 10-game slate. He has a salary of $7,400 and our models now project him for 41.4 FanDuel points. VanVleet should benefit from playing a Thunder team that is allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to shooting guards over their last 15 games. He's also due for some positive regression after only scoring 26.5 FanDuel points last game. In VanVleet's 13 games after scoring fewer than 34 FanDuel points, he is averaging 44.1 FanDuel points and has 40-plus in 10 of those contests.
