The Chicago Bulls have hired Arturas Karnisovas as their Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.
In a corresponding move, the team has also moved on from former general manager Gar Forman. Karnisovas, who has previously worked with the Houston Rockets and the Denver Nuggets, should be much-needed breath of fresh air for the stagnant Bulls franchise.
Expect Karnisovas to hire a new general manager in the near future. The Bulls were a mostly mediocre team for the majority of Forman's tenure as general manager (dating back to 1998), though did experience some hope in the early 2010's.
