NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Saturday 12/29/18
With John Wall likely out, Bradley Beal is a massive value on Saturday night. Who else should you look to on the main slate?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 7:00 p.m. EST.

Best of the Best

Bradley Beal ($8,400): The numbers that Beal has put up this season whenever John Wall is inactive are astonishing. In four games without Wall, Beal has scored no less than 46.1 FanDuel points in any outing. He has played 38, 54, 44, and 42 minutes in those four games and scored 52.9, 70.7, 46.1 and 56.7 FanDuel points while taking between 22 and 33 shots per game. Those are unbelievable numbers. The fact that he's just $8,400 makes him a lock-and-load option for cash games and a really difficult player to fade in tournaments. It appears that Wall and a few others might be missing Saturday's game versus the Charlotte Hornets, which makes Beal and his splits pretty stable and predictable.
