3 NBA DraftKings Studs to Target on 10/17/18
Chris Paul is set to eat in what should be a fast-paced game tonight in Houston. Which other high-cost players are worth building your lineups around?

Anthony Davis, PF/C, New Orleans Pelicans

DraftKings Salary: $11,100

No Boogie? No problem. Anthony Davis played 75 games in the 2017-18 season, the second year in a row he's done that. In the 42 games he played with DeMarcus Cousins, The Brow averaged a very respectable -- but not eye-popping -- 50.0 DraftKings points? In the 33 games without Cousins, that number spiked dramatically to 59.1.

As we all know, Cousins left for the bay, so Davis will be set to bring that dominant average right out of the gate. He certainly showed his capabilities in his last preseason game, going off for 36 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 blocks, and 2 steals in a loss to the Toronto Raptors.

Davis is our number-one ranked player in fantasy for a reason. He can do everything, even draining it from deep (he made a respectable 34.0% of his three-point attempts last year). He has dropped at least 48 DraftKings points in five of his past six against tonight's opponent, the Houston Rockets.

We have Davis projected for 52.6 DraftKings points this evening. While that's 0.9 points fewer than James Harden, Davis comes $400 cheaper, which could provide you a few more lineup options when you start building.
