3 NBA DraftKings Value Plays to Target on 2/12/18
Davis Bertans should see good minutes with the Spurs playing short-handed. Which other low-cost plays are in a good spot?

Jonathon Simmons, SG/SF, Orlando Magic

DraftKings Salary: $5,100

The Orlando Magic will again be without Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic tonight -- along with the recently traded Elfrid Payton -- and that leaves Jonathon Simmons and Evan Fournier ($6,100) as the primary scorers. While fill-in guys such as Mario Hezonja ($5,600), D.J. Augustin ($5,300), and Shelvin Mack ($4,800) are all interesting options, it has been Simmons who has seen the largest boost with Gordon, Vuc, and Payton sidelined.

In 375 minutes without those three, Simmons has a team-leading usage rate of 30.5% and a DraftKings-points-per-minute mark of 0.90. After posting a career-best 34 points against the Cleveland Cavaliers last week, Simmons has posted back-to-back duds heading into this game. That may have been due to an ankle issue that bothered him last week. Whatever the case, the result has been a drop in both salary and ownership, making Simmons a very appealing tournament play tonight.

We've seen his floor in his last two games, which is scary enough to eliminate Simmons from cash games. However, the ceiling is still there for a depleted Magic squad -- especially in this spot against a struggling Chicago Bulls defense. He is an exciting salary-saving tournament option.
