3 NBA DraftKings Studs to Target on 2/1/18
Russell Westbrook gets a terrific matchup against a weak defensive squad in the Denver Nuggets tonight. Which other high-priced NBA players are worth targeting in Thursday's DFS contests?

James Harden, PG/SG, Houston Rockets

DraftKings Salary: $11,400

James Harden is likely to be a popular option following his historical performance on Tuesday, even in a tough matchup against the San Antonio Spurs. Don't let that keep you off him, though -- another huge game could be coming. The Houston Rockets may be without one or both of Chris Paul and Eric Gordon, which would leave Harden to completely dominate the ball like he did against the Orlando Magic.

In nearly 300 minutes of action with both Paul and Gordon sidelined, Harden has a ludicrous 44.4% usage rate. For reference, his usage rate in his last game -- when he took 30 shots and scored 60 points -- was 43.8%. So, we have a 300-minute sample size showing that the process behind Harden's 60-point performance was completely legit, as his usage rate has actually been higher in Paul and Gordon-less minutes outside of that game. Now, he probably won't shoot over 60% again tonight and the peripheral stats could drop off some, but, if Paul and Gordon sit, don't be surprised if Harden pushes for close to 30 shot attempts again.

If Paul suits up, there could be some merit to fading Harden in large-field tournaments. His usage and DraftKings points per minute take a big hit with Paul in the lineup, so a fade could be considered. However, if Paul sits, do everything you can to get Harden into your lineups.
