As is always the case with Jonas Valanciunas, he should be considered a tournament-only play. However, he is someone that could absolutely crush value in tournaments at this price. While Coach Dwane Casey is often hesitant to give Valanciunas the minutes he deserves, there has been something about the matchup against Robin Lopez that makes Casey feel the need to give Valanciunas extended run.

He averaged 26.3 minutes in three games against the Chicago Bulls last season, and Casey has allowed him to see an average of 27.2 minutes of court time in two meetings with Chicago this season. In those games, Valanciunas has averaged 42.1 DraftKings points, which is obviously more than enough to hit value at this price tag.

Valanciunas needs just 24.5 DraftKings points to reach five-times his salary-implied value, which is a near-lock if Casey's trend of getting him more minutes in this matchup continues. On a 12-game slate, it is definitely not worth banking on that happening in cash games. But JV has tournament-winning upside at this price tag and helps you get exposure to some of the more pricey options on the slate.
