3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 5/4/17
Terry Rozier has stepped into a larger role for the Celtics and appears severely underpriced heading into Game 3. Which other low-cost players are worth checking out?

Marcin Gortat, C, Washington Wizards

FanDuel Price: $6,200
Projected FanDuel Points: 23.5
Projected FanDuel Value: 3.79

Outside of a blowout loss in Game 3 and a foul-riddled Game 6 in Round 1, Marcin Gortat has been a difference maker for the Washington Wizards, averaging 33.9 FanDuel points and 36.8 minutes of playing time during the playoffs. He has double-doubled in both of the first two games of their second-round series against the Boston Celtics, averaging 38.1 FanDuel points over the two losses.

Gortat's success in this series shouldn't come as much surprise, as no team on this slate has defended the center position worse than the Celtics, who allowed the 10th-most FanDuel points to opposing centers this season. They're also the worst rebounding team on the slate by a wide margin, as just three teams in the league ranked worse in rebounding rate.

In addition to a terrific matchup, Washington has the best game script of any team -- they are the only squad projected to outscore their season scoring average. Their 112-point implied team total is the highest on the slate and is 3 points more than their season average.

All things considered, Gortat is one of the strongest center plays on the slate. He needs 31 FanDuel points to reach 5 points per $1,000 in salary, a feat he has accomplished in four of the six games (with the blowout and the foul-plagued game the only exceptions). He is a viable play in all formats.
