3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 5/1/17
Tony Parker should benefit from an uptempo matchup against the Rockets. Who else is a value option on this playoff slate?

Norman Powell, SG, Toronto Raptors

FanDuel Price: $4,300
Projected FanDuel Points: 17.9
Projected FanDuel Value: 4.16

Well, the bottom finally fell out for Norman Powell in Game 6, as he was able to accumulate just 8.4 FanDuel points after averaging 32.3 in his first two games as a starter. While the results weren't as encouraging in Game 6, the fact that he again played over 30 minutes was.

Coach Dwane Casey has yet to reveal who he will start for tonight's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, although it would be surprising if Powell didn't see a large role after being the spark plug for the Toronto Raptors in the first round. From a matchup perspective, it would make sense if P.J. Tucker got more run though, as his defense will be needed against the likes of LeBron James and Kevin Love. Be sure to keep an eye on the news because Tucker could be a solid value play as well if he is inserted into the starting lineup.

While we would obviously prefer to see Powell in the starting lineup, Cleveland's defensive inefficiencies (worst defensive efficiency among playoff teams) might be enough to help him reach value regardless. The Cavaliers have been especially bad against opposing wings, allowing the second-most FanDuel points to opposing shooting guards and fourth-most to opposing small forwards this season.
