The Atlanta Braves acquired first baseman Lucas Duda from the Kansas City Royals for cash considerations.
Duda played in 87 games for the Royals after signing a 1-year deal in the offseason. He will likely be little more than a bench bat in Atlanta.
Duda slashed .242/.310/.413 with 13 home runs and 48 RBI across 345 plate appearances for the Royals this season.
