Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale (shoulder) is expected to return next Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays, manager Alex Cora said.
Sale will only wind up missing one start because of mild inflammation in his left shoulder. The 29-year-old southpaw has twirled an absurd 0.69 ERA during his current eight-start unbeaten streak.
Sale has been brilliant this season, putting together an 11-4 record (22 starts) with a 2.04 ERA and 0.87 WHIP while striking out 207 batters across 141 innings pitched. He's averaging 49.2 FanDuel points per appearance.
