Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa (back) probably won't be back before the All-Star break, manager A.J. Hinch conceded Monday.
Hinch said it’s looking “more and more unlikely†that Correa makes it back before the break. He resumed baseball activities on Monday for the first time since injuring his back on June 25 but the Astros are going to err on the side of caution with their star shortstop. Marwin Gonzalez has been filling the void in the field for Houston.
Correa was averaging 11.4 FanDuel points per game while slashing .268/.352/.480 with 13 home runs, 49 RBI, 46 runs scored, and 2 steals across 315 plate appearances.
