Toronto Blue Jays reliever Ryan Tepera pitched a perfect ninth inning Saturday against the Los Angeles Angels for his sixth save.
Tepera came in with a three-run cushion, then got to face Kole Calhoun, Jose Briceno and Jose Fernandez. He's allowed one run and struck out 12 in 10 2/3 innings this month, and with closer Roberto Osuna suspended for 75 games, there are saves for the taking.
Our models project Tepera for 37 more innings pitched this year, with a 3.64 ERA, 26.1 percent strikeout rate, and 8.9 percent walk rate.
