Baltimore Orioles shortstop Manny Machado is out of the lineup on Monday against the Boston Red Sox.
Machado appears to just be getting a routine night off. Jace Peterson is starting at shortstop and batting ninth.
Machado is batting .312/.380/.591 with 32 runs, 18 home runs, and 50 RBIs this season.
