Texas Rangers starting pitcher Doug Fister was placed on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to June 9, with a right knee strain.
Fister suffered the injury during Friday's loss to the Houston Astros. The Rangers called up infielder Hanser Alberto from Triple-A Round Rock in a corresponding roster move. It's not clear how long Fister will be out.
Fister is averaging 20.4 FanDuel points in 12 starts this season while throwing a 4.50 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with 40 strikeouts and 19 walks across 66 innings.
