Texas Rangers starting pitcher Cole Hamels (neck stiffness) has been scratched from his scheduled start on Thursday against the Chicago White Sox.
Doug Fister is moving up to start for the Rangers, and the team has yet to announce who will start on Friday. There's no word on the severity of issue for Hamels, but hopefully it doesn't require a DL stint.
Our models project Hamels for a 4.03 ERA and 1.26 WHIP, to go with 115 strikeouts over 140.8 innings remaining this season.
