Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Chris Sale struck out nine batters and earned the win in his team's 6-4 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday night.
Sale went just five innings after throwing 102 pitches (60 for strikes). He had a problem with issuing four walks, but he allowed only two hits and two earned runs, which came on a two-run homer in the fifth.
Originally projected for 8.0 strikeouts and 40.7 FanDuel points, Sale ended the night with 42.0 FD points at his $11,400 price tag. He's projected for 43.9 in his next start against the Tampa Bay Rays.
