New York Mets pitcher Steven Matz will remain in the team's starting rotation, according to The Athletic's Tim Britton.
Manager Mickey Callaway indicated that the team would not be skipping the left-hander's next start. He and the team's pitching coach sat down with Matz and said, "We're going to get him where he needs to be." Still, the 26-year-old's slow start is something to watch.
Over 5 starts, Matz is 1-2 with a 4.98 ERA and 10.5% walk rate. We project him for 28.9 FanDuel points in his next projected start against the Atlanta Braves.
