New York Mets catcher Travis d'Arnaud has been diagnosed with a partially torn UCL in his right elbow and was placed on the 10-day disabled list.
Injuries are nothing new for d'Arnaud, who may wind up needing Tommy John surgery. Tomas Nido has been called up from Double-A Binghamton to help with backup backstop duties behind Kevin Plawecki.
d'Arnaud is averaging 8.0 FanDuel points per game to open the year while going 3-for-15 (.200) with 1 home run, 3 RBI, and 5 strikeouts in four games.
