Texas Rangers reliever Keone Kela will serve as the team's primary closer, reports MLB.com's TR Sullivan.
Rangers manager Jeff Banister said while Kela will be the team's primary closer, Kevin Jepsen will also get reps late in games. He doesn't want to overwork the 24-year-old Kela.
In 2017, Kela made 39 appearances, going 4-1 with 2 saves and a 3.26 FIP.
