According to The Athletic's Rustin Dodd, Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost has named Danny Duffy as the team's Opening Day starter.
Duffy was the obvious choice here. The 29-year-old southpaw is 21-13 with a 3.64 ERA over the last two seasons. Ian Kennedy is expected to start the team's second game against the Chicago White Sox.
numberFire's models project Duffy for a 9-11 record, 4.00 ERA and 1.29 WHIP in 2018.
