Free agent pitcher Tim Lincecum will sign with the Texas Rangers, according to FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman.
Multiple reports had the two sides deep into contract talks earlier today so this doesn't come as a surprise. Lincecum talked with a few teams but ultimately decided to join the Rangers. It's very likely that he pitches in a relief role.
In 2016, Lincecum appeared in 32 games and went 2-6 with a 9.16 ERA. He has 8 relief appearances in his 10-year career.
