San Francisco Giants pitcher Mike Leake and the team share a "mutual interest" in the righty returning to San Francisco, Giants general manager Bobby Evans said Monday.
This comes after Leake said after his final start of the season there was a "strong possibility" of him returning to the Giants.
The right-hander didn't pitch that well after being traded to San Fran, posting a 4.07 ERA with just 29 strikeouts over 55 1/3 innings. For the year, Leake finished with a 3.93 xFIP, his worst mark in the past five seasons.
