Texas Rangers third baseman/designated hitter Adrian Beltre is not starting on Wednesday against the Houston Astros.
The Rangers have officially been eliminated from postseason contention, so they're going to take it easy with the 38-year-old veteran. Drew Robinson will man the hot corner for Texas while Shin-Soo Choo handles DH duties on Wednesday versus Astros right-hander Justin Verlander.
Beltre owns a .311/.382/.533 slash and .915 OPS with 17 home runs and 71 RBI across 387 plate appearances (93 games) this season. He's averaging 11.5 FanDuel points per game in 2017.
