Miami Marlins reliever Brad Ziegler (back) is out again on Tuesday versus the New York Mets due to an illness.
Ziegler was set to return from a back injury that has kept him out since September 7, but he'll have to wait a little longer due to an apparent flu bag. Prior to going down, the 37-year-old right-hander spun a 5.04 ERA, 1.59 WHIP, and 12.3 strikeout percentage across 44 2/3 innings while going 9-for-13 on save chances.
numberFire's models project Ziegler to post a 3.83 ERA and 1.49 WHIP with 4 strikeouts over the remainder of the season.
