St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright has been activated from the 10-day disabled list.
Wainwright has been out since August 17 due to a right elbow impingement. He will work out of the Cardinals' bullpen for the remainder of the season. Prior to going down, the 36-year-old right-hander posted a 5.12 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, and 17.9 strikeout percentage across 121 1/3 innings while going 12-5 in 23 starts.
