Chicago Cubs pitcher Jon Lester has had his next start pushed back to Wednesday.
Lester was in line to start on Tuesday night, but Mike Montgomery will return to the rotation and take that start, pushing Lester back to Wednesday for a matchup with the Tampa Bay Rays.
numberFire's models project Lester for 4.2 strikeouts and 2.3 earned runs as well as a 40% chance of scoring a win in 6.1 innings of action in his next start. He is also projected for a 4.04 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in 17.8 innings pitched over the remainder of the season.
