Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Chris Stewart will go back to the bench for Thursday's matchup with the Chicago Cubs.
After a spot start behind the plate yesterday, Stewart will cede catching duties to the young Elias Diaz tonight. He bats seventh against Jon Lester and the Chicago Cubs.
After a 1-for-3 night, Stewart is projected for 3 singles, 1 double and 2 RBI over 23 plate appearances the rest of the year.
