San Diego Padres shortstop Erick Aybar is in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Yangervis Solarte is coming off a start at shortstop, but he is playing third base Wednesday with Cory Spangenberg getting the night off. Aybar is coming in to play short and batting seventh against Jack Flaherty.
