Seattle Mariners pitcher James Paxton is expected to throw a bullpen session this weekend, reports the Seattle Times' Ryan Divish.
Out since August 10th, Paxton has yet to put in any work on a mound. Clearly, he has quite a few steps to take before getting back to the big league rubber, but he might just be back in time for a few starts before the postseason gets underway. Fellow starter Felix Hernandez is also set to throw a bullpen session over the coming days.
Over 14-plus innings, our models expect Paxton to go 1-1 with a 3.15 ERA and 13 strikeouts the rest of the 2017 season.
