Colorado Rockies infielder Ryan McMahon is absent from Monday's starting lineup against the Atlanta Braves.
McMahon reached base twice in his first major league start on Sunday, going 1-for-3 with a walk. Mark Reynolds will return to first base on Monday and bat cleanup versus Braves right-hander Julio Teheran. The 22-year-old rookie can play multiple positions for Colorado, but a lack of playing time will likely limit his value to deeper NL-only formats.
Prior to being called up on Friday, McMahon slashed .375/.409/.625 with 13 home runs and 50 RBI across 269 plate appearances (59 games) for Triple-A Albuquerque this season.
