Colorado Rockies first baseman Mark Reynolds is not starting on Wednesday against the Cleveland Indians.
After going on a five-game hitting streak, Reynolds is now 0-for-7 with 4 strikeouts over his last two contests. He'll grab a seat on the bench on Wednesday afternoon while Gerardo Parra draws the start at first base for Colorado and bats cleanup versus Indians right-hander Trevor Bauer. Alexi Amarista will be in left field.
For the season, Reynolds is slashing .279/.366/.509 with 23 home runs, 74 RBI, and 65 runs scored in 437 plate appearances (106 games). numberFire's models project him to record a .276 average with 8 homers, 26 RBI, and 26 runs scored in 194 plate appearances over the remainder of the year.
