New York Yankees first baseman Matt Holliday (back) has been placed on the 10-day DL.
Holliday is dealing with a left lumbar strain and will be sidelined for at least a few week. The Yankees have called up Garrett Cooper from Triple-A in a corresponding move.
Holliday has hit 16 home runs with a .329 wOBA so far this season and is projected to crank 7 more with a .243 batting average in 166 plate appearances the rest of the season, by our models.
