Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker said that rookie Ozzie Albies will be the team's everyday second baseman going forward, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's David O'Brien.
Albies, called up to make his major league debut on Tuesday, is MLB Pipeline's 19th-ranked prospect in baseball. As he takes over the majority of the work at second, Brandon Phillips and Johan Camargo will be forced to split work at third.
In 448 plate appearances at Triple-A Gwinnett, Albies hit .285/.330/.440 with 9 home runs and 41 RBI. He also snatched 21 bases in 97 games.
